I'm talking about Next Gen News 2: Anticipating the audiences of 2030 and the strategies to meet them, a report published last week by the Knight Lab at Northwestern University, in partnership with FT Strategies.
It's the second instalment of their research into how next-generation news consumers discover, engage with and make sense of news, and it's packed with insights into the habits and desires of young audiences.
But for all the useful insights on news consumption, it's a paragraph about emerging news producers that caught my eye and that I want to unpack with you.
